Host a Class at your Barn

No Farm is to Far

Courtney is booking courses for the rest of the year and into 2023!  She travels to you so we get to work with your horses. The number of course attendees varies depending on the location. To book a course at your barn fill out the registration form. Courtney will be in touch to confirm the registration and answer any of your questions! 


All you need to host a clinic is: 

  1. Horses, horses, horses. Big or small we can use them all. 
  2. A place for us to get out of the elements
  3. A place to set up the classroom with an outlet. (It doesn't have to be fancy) 
  4. Class participants
  5. A restroom

About the Courses

Backcountry First Aid - $99

A guide to help you prepare for your ride… and an emergency

Plan, Prepare, React

Join us for a 3 hour comprehensive and hands-on class covering: a communication plan; how to pack and what to take; developing a food and water plan; what to carry on your person; what your horse must be capable of; taking vital signs. Plus, exhaustion/heat stroke/dehydration; hoof injury; fractures/splinting; impalement; snake bite; bandaging; trapped horse.


Booking the Backcountry First Aid Course starting for March 2023.

All other classes for January and February of 2023!

Equine Health and Emergency First Aid - $159 

Join us for a one day course covering: what your vet needs to know, conditioning a horse to accept treatment, taking vital signs, dealing with lacerations, punctures, colic, choke, collapse, casting, shock, hoof issues, recognizing pain in the horse and pain source identification, saddle fit for spinal health, injury prevention and so much more! All attendees receive a certificate of completion, first aid manual and this course earns you professional development credits with Equine Canada as well as equine-related insurance discounts.

(It is recommended to take this class prior to the Advanced Classes)

Advanced Equine Emergency First Aid - $159 

PLAN PREPARE and REACT to ANY emergency!

Join us for a one day highly advanced equine emergency first aid course and learn what to do in the most extreme situations! Covering everything from trapped horses to poison, burns to bites, hypothermia to tie ups, fractures to sucking chest wounds, this course prepares the student to handle the most serious injuries, where without intervention the horse will not survive.

Advanced Equine Emergency First Aid - $159

Wilderness Edition

A wilderness version of the above - this one day, highly advanced equine emergency first aid course is for the adventurous outdoor rider. With a camping and stitching component, this also covers everything including trapped horses, poison, burns and bites, hypo/hyperthermia, tie ups, fractures and sucking chest wounds, this course prepares the student to handle the most serious injuries, where without human intervention the horse will not survive.

Disaster Planning and Emergency Preparedness 

for All Livestock Owners - $159

A MUST for any livestock owner, this course will train you in fire prevention, planning for and executing safe evacuation procedures, hidden dangers and responding to first aid emergencies. It also covers what to do in natural disasters such as flooding, wild fires, ice storms, hurricanes, tornadoes and more. Don't be unprepared - we can help you help your animals. This course is suitable for any livestock operation, not just horses and is supported by the insurance industry.

Equine First Aid Fundamentals - $99

This is a half day fast paced clinic covering the fundamentals of first aid. Working hands on with the horses, you will learn to take vital signs, recognize pain in the horse, detect colic, and participate in lots of bandaging in realistic scenarios! All attendees receive a first aid reference booklet.

I CAN HELP! Horse First Aid for Kids! - $59

Have a horse crazy youngster? Sign them up for the 3 hour kids program. They'll learn horse safety and basic first aid in a fun, hands on environment. There's even a recipe for horse cookies in their manual and they'll all get a certificate of completion! No horse experience necessary!
